A very deserved win for Stonehouse in this tough county cup match. They were the better team for most of this match, but unlike other games of this type, they competed with more steel and determination in the tackaling department which paid off. They had to match Aek in the physical stakes in order to play their own football, and that is exactly what they did. Too many times Stonehouse have out played their opponents this season, only for a missed tackle, or letting the other team out muscle them off the ball to gain a victory which they should not have. Maybe the penny has finally dropped, and now we will see a new determination to battle when we have to, in order to play our own football and gain the victory we have been missing. Let's hope so, the team deserves much credit for the football they have been playing, and they continue to improve every match.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
