This season has been the strongest yet for any of my Stonehouse Teams. We Started off alot better than lasts years 1st game only loosing 4-2 to Quedgeley which was a good result and showed signs of what was to come from our new signings. With a goal from Oli L and Toby. After this things kept on a steady pace but unfortunately no wins for a few weeks but some excellent performances from the team and on a few occasions very unlucky not to pick up a win. But all of our hard work and training paid off and we finally picked up that coveted win about half way through the season on a very cold wet day at Frampton where a great team performace capped a 4-2 win. After that there was no stopping the team picking up wins in our next 2 matches both against abbeymead which is a good acheivment as they beat us heavily last year. After these victories we picked up a draw with Quedgeley which is also a good result as they finished 3rd in the league. After 2 difficult games against Cam and Rodborough both resulting in heavey losses we managed to win our last 3 games of the season. 2 against Whiteshill with very strong performances from Tom Millin and Toby in the 2nd of the 2 games. The other win came at the expense of Golden Valley where once again Toby was on fire netting a hattrick.
In all this was a very strong season for us managing to finish around mid table which is a massive improvement on last year where we finished rock bottom.. Who knows maybe next year with alot of hard work we will move up another half of the table. Lets just see.
