Stonehouse Town is one of the longest serving teams in Gloucestershire area.
In the glory days of the 60's and 70's, Stonehouse was largest team in the area, regularly drawing crowds of over 2000 to their Western League, Wiltshire Premier League, County League and FA Cup games.
The Club is still based at "The Magpies" stadium in Oldends Lane, and players and supporters still socialise at the Magpies' Sports and Social Club.
The club runs 4 teams:
1st Team Northern Senior League 1,
2nd Team Stroud Div 2,
3rd Team Stroud Div 4,
4th Team Stroud Div 8
The club has been run successfully for many years, with many of you remembering Club Secretary, Mike Smith, who still does an excellent job in running all 4 sides, including washing all 4 sets of kit! 'Spike' is very well respected within the local football community.
One of Stonehouse's strengths is its excellent youth system, which has seen a large number of players come into the club and also, now, representing the 1st team regularly - the main influence in this is Matthew Porter and Ian Neville, who have been with the youngsters for years, developing a good standard that the 1st team enhances with each game.
A massive THANK YOU to Wayne Neville and WATERFRONT FINANCIAL CONSULTANTS at Ullenwood near Cheltenham, for sponsoring the 1st team kit.
